The Leisure division is led by Sam Smith

Although Sam Smith Travel was originally started in Churchill Way in Cardiff in 1977, the office here in Cowbridge has only been in our name since May 2000, before this it was for a short period Culver Travel and prior to that from 1982 to 1998 Roddam Travel of which our corporate director Neil Jones was the owner.

The original Sam Smith Travel expanded in 1980 to Rumney and then in 1988 to Llandaff High Street, which is where in 1990 the other offices consolidated.

The business was sold in 1993 and became a branch of Going Places. Sam Smith had intended to retire from travel, but was persuaded to assist the Culver Group in setting up a new travel operation and started working in conjunction with Neil Jones and Roddam Travel, acquiring the Cowbridge office in 1998. The office was subsequently sold to Sam Smith in May 2000.

The Corporate division is led by Neil Jones

Neil Jones and the corporate team joined us in July 2003 thus making a full circle and allowing Sam Smith Travel to offer an unrivalled mix of both leisure and corporate travel to not only the people of the Vale but to businesses throughout the United Kingdom.
